I actually found some amazing Coats there! I got a beautiful CB jacket which looks practically brand new, it's thick and plush. I also got an eggplant color beautiful long coat. The tags were still on it! Each of the Coats were half price that day. Which made them FOUR dollars each! I could not believe what an awesome deal I got! I'll definitely be checking back here for sweaters.
The store used to be a great store with good finds however since they restructured it is not the same I walk out with nothing
I recently moved back home to North Adam's after living in the South for well over 20 years. I have no Winter clothes whatsoever. I was thinking about Winter Coats when I stopped in to this store. Honestly as far as thrift stores go, this one is very nice. I was surprised with the wonderful selection and pleased with the way they itemized the racks. It's easy to find different items you're looking for. The staff is more than helpful and nice. I also like that there were a few mirrors around the store making it easy when I tried on a jacket or sweater. I'm sure the dressing Room was nice but I was just looking for jackets.
Lil expensive for my taste of used goods.
Save your receipts on electronics -- I've purchased several broken items -- including an 8 dollar vacuum which I lost the receipt for.
They've also charged me too much on clothes on a couple of occasions when a new person working wasn't comprehending the details of the day's particular sale -- but it was only a dollar or two and wasn't worth arguing for it. The people that work here are very nice.
They put color on sale on one rack making it easier for you to look.
Check the clothes for stains, rips, etc.,
With that said, it's a Goodwill and I've managed to get plenty of good things here by going on a very regular basis; and the staff all have a great attitude and are very friendly and upbeat about their job. There's really nothing wrong with this location.
5/5 stars minus the fact that this location is in North Adams, and other locations have a higher volume coming in and a higher volume on the shelves, so there is constantly a lot of stuff and constantly a lot of new stuff to choose from; you can't expect this in North Adams. Also, largely due to the economic status of the area, you do not tend to find medium or high-value items being donated often. Other Goodwill locations keep their entire store absolutely stacked because they get a high volume of medium and high quality donations; so, undoubtedly, it is much harder to regularly find great items here.
