Now, the icing on the cake is that, of course, had to pay for her shoddy job. The receptionist had the "decency" to look up from her stupid phone and serve me. When I told her I didn't want my hair done here, and that I didn't want to pay the 25 dollars, she responded by rolling her eyes and screaming "MOM!" across the salon. Okay, now I get it. The "mom" business owner comes over, says I have to pay, and so I say screw it and pay.
After getting my
All I can say is that I hope Shear Madness reads this because they need a "good look in the mirror" (Pun intended! Customers should always face the mirror, people!)
nails done I felt very good about myself. All the girls there r very nice especially Liz & Brandi.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The people here are very incompetent. I scheduled an appointment for the day before my prom, and I specifically said I wanted a full head die, just to walk in for them to deny my entry and say I scheduled a cut when I did not. The lady was very rude to me the whole time and told me she 'didn't have time' to do my hair, when there were about five other women sitting around doing absolutely nothing. And even if I did schedule a hair cut and not a full head, the door says walk-ins allowed. So I do not recommend to come here, but I do recommend this business to listen better on the phone, and also take the walk-in sign off the window.
WORST HAIR COLORING EVER. WILL NEVER RETURN.
Love getting my hair cut here. Staff is friendly. It's like coming home to see family. Girls are very knowledgeable and up to date with current trends A+
Let me start this by saying I am not hard to please and never usually write sour reviews - but this place sincerely deserves it. This was probably the WORST experience I have ever had at not only a hair salon, but any place of business, EVER.
Liz looked at the pictures and said "Very beautiful" and immediately started doing my hair WITHOUT a consultation. She didn't explain what she would do to achieve the look, instead she proceeded to TURN ME AWAY FROM THE MIRROR FOR THE ENTIRE TIME SHE DID MY HAIR so that for an hour I stared into space while she YELLED IN MY EAR to talk to her fellow workers about what was happening out the window. I genuinely think because it was nice out she turned me towards the window so that SHE could see what was happening outside, instead of looking at what she was actually doing in the mirror!! Not to mention her conversations with her "friends" was loud, inappropriate, and unprofessional - making fun of people on the street, etc, while barely talking to me.
No surprise, when she finally turned me around and I saw what she had done for the first time, I hated it. It was nothing like I showed her. The chignon was tight, the hair around it was tight, and I looked horrible. I said I didn't like it and she was shocked. I said "well, I wanted it loose like the picture" to which she replied "Oh, you wanted it loose?" Are you kidding me!? Yes, there were two stipulations, 1. Loose 2. Chignon. She then asked to see the picture again, AND THEN said she would ask someone how to do it. WOW. This girl had no idea what she was doing, so she just winged it and hoped it would work out.
When she came back she did it all over again, and of course, it looked no better. Nothing like the picture. I feigned satisfaction just so I could get the hell out of there.
This place needs an adjustment. And honestly, I think Liz, the girl who did my hair is probably a nice person, but she has no idea what she's doing when it comes to styling hair. Maybe the other girls are good, but hey, that's not my problem. I now have to frantically search for another place to do my hair for my wedding.
Since I'm getting married in Adams but live in Boston area, I was very careful to pick a place for a hair trial that had good reviews so that I didn't have to make another 2 hour drive to a different hair salon if I didn't like how they did my hair. Needless to say I will have to do that now. Not only was the girl 10 minutes late for my appointment, which I had made 2 weeks in advance, but not a word of apology was spoken by her or the extremely rude receptionist. This was nothing compared to what happened next. I showed the hairdresser, Liz, 4 pictures of what I wanted done. A loose chignon with curls. So easy I could do it myself, but my mother and cousin wanted to get their hair done too, so I figured what the hell.
