Last tip - I didn't hear the kitchen staff talking to eachother once. Communication is key in kitchens. That might help...
Portion size: if you think an order of fries is 5 over done knobs of grease on a plate is appealing, this place is for you. The sandwich my partner had was like 3 shreds of chicken on a bun with a ton of sauce.
Best Panini in town. Friendly service, and a cozy environment.
My burger was dreadful. Black and blue. More like black and barf. Meat that crumbles like that is a sign of being FROZEN not fresh. It was over cooked but somehow still cold when it got to my table, so it clearly sat. It had Cajun spice on it, but that's ALL you could taste. I couldn't taste the blue cheese whatsoever. This spice is far too overwhelming that you can't taste any other ingredient used. Rubbery bacon, it was all in all just a disaster.
I really hate leaving bad reviews but, this one needed to be left.
They happily accommodated our party of over 25 people. Attentive waiters and good food - we couldn't have asked for much more
I really hope the owners see this and make improvement. This is a really neat atmosphere but unless this improves I don't see it lasting.
The menu looked inviting. My Cobb salad was mediocre. The luncheon Ruben special was good, but sold out and I heard them struggling to fill orders. We sat at a high top near the bar. There was a great deal of drama going on between the staff. Our waitress never asked us how our meals were and after taking our empty plates she disappeared for ten minutes. I doubt I'd go back.
Now on to the food: I'm not a Michelin rated chef by any means but I know good food vs. bad.
Clearly, I'm seeing a trend. Disorganization and laziness; as I can see the 3 wait staff members hovering at their pick up station chatting about who knows what...the entire time.
We arrived and were not greeted for about 5 minutes. That should have been our first clue. We were seated and handed menus and then waited.....and waited some more. We waited so long that we ended up placing our drink order with our food. We again waited for our drinks and they finally came. Mind you, I had ordered a side salad as an app, so I was going to ask when that should be arriving but our waiter took off with a flash. Again, we waited. Our drinks now finished, our food still yet to arrive. The food is finally delivered to our table, but again we had to wait...we don't have silverware or napkins. Oh, remember that side salad? That ended up coming AFTER the entree.
The hub is such a great place to hang out. It has a cool atmosphere that is warm with dim lighting. The food is also great. We have never been disappointed the many time we have been there.
